What Does Animal Protection Mean ?

Animal Protection becomes available once you unlock an Animal Shelter.
Captured animals can be delivered to the facility as “Lost and Found” items, which helps increase your affinity with the Animal Protection Facility.
How to Capture Animals

Animals can be found roaming the fields outside of snowy mountain areas. When you approach them, you’ll see the prompt to “Place in Animal Carrier.” Put the animal into the protection bag and either deliver it directly to the Animal Protection Facility or entrust it to other players to transport it for you.
Be careful when approaching animals, as vehicles like the Coffin Boat, Bike, or Car can accidentally run them over. Also, animals count as water-sensitive cargo, so avoid submerging them in water.

Since animals are very small, they can be easily missed even when scanning. Exploring at night while scanning makes them much easier to spot, so night-time exploration is highly recommended.
Animals do not appear in the rain, but you can encounter animals taking shelter from the rain inside Timefall Shelters.
If an animal dies in front of you due to exposure to Timefall, you’ll have the option to build a grave when you approach its body. Take a moment to pay your respects—it’s a small but meaningful gesture within the game.

Recommended Equipment for Capturing Animals
You don’t need any special items to capture animals, but be aware that wild animals will run away if you get too close.
To make capturing easier, consider equipping either the Quokka backpack accessory (unlocked at Connection Level 4 with Animal Shelter) or the Rescue Suit (unlocked at Connection Level 4 with The Adventurer).
With either of these equipped, animals will no longer flee when you approach—making your job much easier.
Rare White Albino Animals

Some animals have rare white fur, resembling albino variants, which set them apart from their regular counterparts.
Through Aid Requests from the Pioneer, you’ll be guided to the locations of three white albino animals: the Echidna, Lyrebird, and Kangaroo.
However, it’s worth noting that every animal species in the game has a rare white albino variant, not just those three.
All Animal Species
There are a total of 10 animal species you can capture.
Animal Capture Locations
Once captured, animals will typically respawn in the same location after a few in-game days.
While animals can appear in various places throughout the world, this guide focuses on the easiest and most reliable locations to capture them.
1. Wombat

Found near the parking area at The West Fort Knot (F1).
Be careful when driving in the area, as it’s easy to accidentally run over the wombat while passing through.
2. Emu

Can be easily captured on the second floor of The Motherhood.
Use a ladder to reach the upper level.
Since the emu is classified as XXL cargo, make sure to travel light before attempting to capture and transport it.
3. Platpus

Found along coastlines and riverbanks, most reliably near the river mouth close to The Western Environmental Observatory.
4. Kangaroo

Can be found west of Heartman’s Lab and in surrounding areas.
Due to its large size, it’s relatively easy to spot. However, since it’s classified as XXL cargo, be sure to travel light when going to capture it.
5. Quokka

Can be found near an enemy camp close to the Western Environmental Observatory.
6. Koala

Can be found in the trees near the Data Scientist.
Since it’s perched up high, make sure to bring a ladder to capture it safely.
7. Lyrebird

Can be found at the bottom of a cliff south of the Southern Environmental Observatory.
You can also capture one at the burnt-down site near the Pizza Chef during a request from the Ghost Hunter, but note that it won’t respawn at that location after the mission is completed.
8. Tasmanian Devil

Can be captured on the far side of the mountain behind the Savanna Mine.
9. Echidna

Found along the highway near The West Fort Knot (F1).
10. Bilby

Found in the ravine area below the cliffs near the Animal Shelter, where a fire once occurred.
Because the area is filled with trees and tall grass that obstruct your view, it’s recommended to search at night, when scanning becomes more effective.
Conclusion
Captured animals can be viewed in the protected area in front of the Animal Shelter, with space for up to 50 animals.
Be sure to take some memorable photos with your favorite animals! 😀
